Ridge Line Ramble (120 miles)
Start: Intersection of Routes 28 and 29
1. Travel South on Route 29 to Gainesville.
2. Right turn (West) on Highway 55 to the plains.
3. Right turn at gas station onto Route 626 to Middleburg.
4. Left turn (West) on Route 50. Go ~ one mile.
5. Left turn onto Route 709 (Zulla road) to Route 55.

Right turn (West) on 55. Go through Marshall (Old Salem
restaurant is a great
place to eat) and follow signs to I-66.
7. Left turn, following signs to I-66 and pass over the interstate.
8. Right turn onto Route 647.
9. At the stop sign, make a Right turn onto Route 688. You will cross back over Route 55 and go through a wildlife management area, before dead-ending into Route. 17.
10. Left turn on Route 17 and continue to the light (Route 50).
11. Left turn (West) on Route 50 for ~1.5 miles.
12. Bear right onto Route 601 and continue on 601 until it dead-ends at Route 7.
13. Right turn on Route 7 and go less than a mile to Route 734 (Snickerville Turnpike).
14. Right turn on 734. [Caution: ½ mile on Route 734, take the 180-degree switchback wide and slow; Route 734 is scenic yet bumpy in parts.]
15. Left turn (East) on Route 50 and continue back into Fairfax…this meets up with Routes 28 and 29 and Interstate 66 in the Chantilly area.
