Ridges, Valleys and Horse Country (184 miles)
Start: Intersection of Routes 28 and 29

1. Start at the intersection of Routes 28 and 29, in Centreville, and head south on Route 29.

2. Take Route 29 South towards Gainesville

3. Take 55 West to Marshall.

4. In Marshall follow the signs to Interstate 66, go over the Interstate.

5. Make a right on Route 647.

6. Travel to Flint Hill and make a left on Route 522.

7. Take a right on Route 211.  (Go over two Shenandoah ridgelines - pass entrance to skyline drive).

8. Travel to New Market (where Route 211 dead ends into us Route 11) (cool civil war battlefield there.)

9. Turn right turn on Route 11 (north) and continue to Edinburg.

10. Turn right on Route 675 (go over a ridgeline).

11. Turn left on Route 678 (run along a river) until dead ends at Route 55.

12. Turn right on 55 (east) to Front Royal.

13. Continue on 55 through Front Royal to Markham.

14. Turn left on Route 688 to dead end on Route 17.

15. Turn left on Route 17 for 2 miles to Route 50.

16. Turn right on 50 (east) through horse country to Chantilly (be sure to stop at magpie's in Middleburg for a snack).
